Free practice tests for all theory questions to get your L Plates so you can start driving a car, motorbike, lorry or bus.

Also included: practice for becoming an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)

Questions supplied by DVSA and are based on the Highway Code and UK road rules.

Do simulated 25-, 50-, 75- or 100-question random mock tests, or drill down into the 15 categories (including show me, tell me).

Note: this app is for practicing for the theory test, not the hazard perception test (HPT)

Each question has an explanation of the correct answer which helps clarify the road rule to assist with your driving.

Car and motorbike learner drivers can take sections for alertness, attitude, safety and your vehicle, safety margins, hazard awareness, vulnerable road users, other types of vehicles, vehicle handling, motorway rules, rules of the road, road and traffic signs, documents, incidents, accidents and emergencies, vehicle loading and show-me, tell me.

Lorry learner drivers can take vehicle weights and dimensions, drivers hours and rest periods, braking systems, the driver, the road, accident handling, vehicle condition, leaving the vehicle, vehicle loading, restricted view, documents, environmental issues, road and traffic signs and other road users.

Bus learner drivers take a similar set to lorry learner drivers, except focusing on carrying passengers rather than loading goods.

Approved driving instructor trainees (trainee ADIs) can take signs, signals and controls, driving test law, instructional techniques and road procedure.

At the end of each test you can view the questions you got incorrect, with the correct answer and an explanation.

This app is targeted for drivers in Great Britain, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland or people who will be driving in the UK who hold an overseas licence.

Note: app requires internet access. App updates with the latest questions automatically.
